Arriving in Nagore
Nagore is a small coastal town in Nagapattinam district, and most of what visitors come for sits within a few streets of each other. The Heritage Inn is in the middle of that, which means the walk to the Dargah is short and the walk back after a long day is shorter still.

Nagore Dargah Shareef is roughly 400 to 500 metres from the property based on the information we hold, an easy few minutes on foot for most guests.
By train
Nagore railway station is within walking distance. Published figures differ, so rather than quote a precise number we will simply say it is close, and reception is happy to point you the right way.
By car
Free private parking is available on site. It does need to be reserved in advance, so mention it when you book and a space will be kept for you.
Nagore Dargah
Nagore Dargah Shareef is the landmark most visitors to the town are here for, and it draws people from across Tamil Nadu and well beyond. It is a living place of devotion rather than a sight to be ticked off, and the rhythm of the surrounding streets follows it closely.
We would rather not summarise its history or significance ourselves. For background, the state and national tourism authorities publish their own descriptions of the Dargah and its major festival.
The streets around the hotel
The neighbourhood is ordinary in the best sense: shops, tea, families going about their evening. Everything a short walk brings you to is genuinely a short walk, and the property sits far enough off the main flow to stay quiet once the door closes.
